True Watermark
The Genuine or Authentic Watermark is placed in the paper fibers at the time the paper
is manufactured, and may be viewed from either side of the paper. To verify check authenticity, hold the check up to light.

Artificial Watermark
The Artificial Watermark is an image applied to the check paper. It is visible when viewd at an angle and from one side only.
Chemical Reactivity
Invisible chemical reactants in the check paper resist duplication and alterations. If bleach or other solvents are used to alter the check, the stain will show up.
Invisible Fluorescent Fibers
Invisible Flourescent Fibers embedded in the check paper that are visible only under ultraviolet light. These are
extremely difficult to duplicate.
Microprint Borders
Microprint Text Border is printed at 1/100 of an inch so it appears as a line, but can be verified with a low
powered magnifying glass. If scanned or photocopied, the line will look filled in or solid.
